The new project will introduce efficient solutions for fish and seafood farming in all types of flow-through and recirculating aquaculture systems. It will bring together fish farmers with suppliers of equipment, feed, fish seeds, and veterinary products, while also offering the sector cutting-edge developments in genetics and selective breeding.

A total of 3,667 professionals, or 18.74% of all visitors to Seafood Expo Russia 2024, showed interest in the aquaculture sector. Since being designated as a separate section in 2021, aquaculture has grown each year and consistently ranks in the top three most popular areas of the event. The sector’s long-standing professional interest and pressing development needs have led us to launch a new project – Aqua Farm Global, which will be held as part of Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia.

From Rearing to Sales

The dedicated exposition will be accompanied by a rich business program. Speakers — practicing industry professionals — will focus on measures aimed at solving the key challenges faced by sector participants, sharing their own development paths and best practices from abroad, including China, Turkey, India, and Vietnam.

In addition to technologies for increasing aquatic species survival rates, attention will also be given to the economic development of aquaculture enterprises. The agenda will combine scientific, technical, and economic aspects: discussions will cover not only how to raise fish, but also how to sell it with high added value and minimal costs.

A Unique Exposition and Opportunities for SMEs

The centerpiece of the exposition will be a fully operational recirculating aquaculture system (RAS), with working equipment on display. Surrounding it will be stands featuring fish farming companies and private aquafarmers, as well as equipment manufacturers, suppliers of feed, juveniles, veterinary products, professional associations, and specialized scientific institutions.

This layout will allow small and medium-sized businesses to secure prime exhibition spots on favorable terms, and visitors to explore aquaculture products and services in greater depth.

Infrastructure to Support Sector Growth

Participants of the special exposition will also benefit from the broader Seafood Expo Russia event, gaining access to solutions for fish processing and production, packaging, logistics, storage, and distribution.
Combined with a professional audience, this creates ideal conditions for scaling up aquaculture businesses, diversifying operations with new profitable areas, and forming high-efficiency clusters.

Time and Venue

The specialized exposition Aqua Farm Global will take place during the Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia, on October 22–24, 2025, at the ExpoForum EC, St. Petersburg, Russia.
